For those couples that are now researching wedding photographers for their big day, please do go with a professional, not someone who fits it in at the weekend whilst doing a full time work.

I'm going to tell you about a wedding shoot at a north London church in Muswell Hill. The reception was in the city of London at the Law society; this was a great wedding to cover because the guests were being taken on a sightseeing tour of London on an old route master bus [red double Decker bus] and finally ending up at the Law society.

I often get called out to shoot all kinds of weddings, the one I am about to tell you about is an RAF wedding, which was very impressive, the ceremony took place at a delightful church All Saints Church in Clive a village not far from Shrewsbury, around 115 guests, the church is lovely set on a hill, what made this a little bit more special was the guard of honour, a lot of people attended from RAF Shawbury not a million miles away.

Recently, I was commissioned to shoot a wedding at Meole village Church Shrewsbury. The church is a beautiful and the vicar great, the reception was held at the parent's house of the bride in a Marquee, in a lovely garden.

I recently shot some wedding pictures at Fishmore Hall Ludlow. I have shot at Fishmore Hall several times and truly love this venue; it's an old school and has now been converted into a very hip hotel.

I would like to tell you all about a wedding photo shoot at Shrewsbury Castle, I had never shot at the castle before and had heard from other photographers that it was a little limiting, far from the truth I found Shrewsbury Castle great with a lot of different area's and lovely grounds, and the staff friendly and helpful.

Well the year is fast coming to a close, and I'm looking back and reflecting on how the year has been for Whitfield photography, and on reflection it's been a good year, especially as we have survived a double dip recession, business has been good.
